| 英文描述 | Horses ingesting wilted red maple (ACER RUBRUM) leaves can develop severe hematological dyscrasias. There are both a peracute form of this disease, with sudden death, and a more prolonged syndrome associated with hemolysis. Methemoglobin and Heinz bodies found on clin path. Has been reproduced. Probably due to an oxidant in the leaves. Blood is chocolate colored. Dx by dietary history. |
